The Good Bad and Ugly of Sports right now

The Good:

The Detroit Tigers hired Brad Ausmus to lead a revamped coaching staff that should invigorate next year's team. Last week Prince "Soft Pretzel" Fielder was traded away to Texas for second baseman Ian Kinsler. Kinsler is a 20-20 guy that slots in the top of the lineup while being cheaper then Prince's $219 million, 9 year deal. Cabrera moves back to first and Castellanos starts at third.
Projected Lineup:
Jackson, CF
Kinsler, 2B
Hunter, RF
Cabrera, 1B
Martinez, DH
Castellanos, 3B
Dirks, LF
Avila, C
Iglesias, SS
MSU Spartans: Football is heading to next weekend's Big Ten championship against #4 Team from Columbus, Ohio. Basketball is #1 after beating former #1 Kentucky, followed by a nailbiter against Columbia.

The (Better, but still) Bad:

The Red Wings ate 12-7-7 and have the #4 playoff seed, but prior to the last two wins they lost 8 of 9 with 5 straight overtime or shootout losses.

The Ugly:

Michigan football is 7-4 and they have fizzled from being a Big Ten championship contender to going to the Meineke Choker Care Bowl. The basketball team is 4-2 with losses to Iowa State and Charlotte. They squeaked out a 82-80 win against Florida State.
The Pistons may be 6-9, and giving up 100 points per game, but they are currently the #8 seed in the Eastern Conference.
