Detroit Lions 2013: The Collapse, The Coach, and The Curse

The Detroit Lions lost an overtime snoozer to the Giants this past Sunday afternoon. They lost five of their last six and now sit at third place with a 7-8 record. The Lions have skidded out and they probably will fire Coach Schwartz. They have been dismal against .500+ teams since Schwartz joined the team.

With an offense that has Stafford, Johnson, and Bush, and the 4th ranked rushing defense in the league, Jim Schwartz should be able to get around 10-12 wins. Even though it had been a tumultuous season, with a win against the lowly Giants, we would have been more then alive for the Playoffs. Jimmy S needs to go coach Eastern Michigan, while the Lions commence a search for a new head coach. Maybe they could pull Jim Leyland out of retirement…
